Control return fees on mixed bookings

Most retailers ship complaints back free of charge and charge a fee for regular returns. When a shopper puts both into the same booking, there hasn't been enough flexibility to decide when that fee should apply.

You can now choose how the fee is calculated on a mixed booking. Make the return free if any item is a complaint, or free only if every item is a complaint. Conditional fee overrides can run on item counts as well: the total number of items, complaint items only, or return items only.

The return widget reflects the same logic, so where your price list conditions use the complaint operator, the shopper sees the number you actually intended to charge.

Start a withdrawal before delivery is booked

Shoppers can initiate a withdrawal as soon as an order is placed, even before a delivery has been booked. This extends Ingrid's existing support for the EU right of withdrawal, giving shoppers the ability to exercise that right earlier in the order journey.

To enable this, go to Shop settings → Withdrawals in Ingrid Returns and turn on Allow without original shipment. The setting is separate from the equivalent option for regular returns, so the two flows can be configured independently.

Show richer product details in notifications

Product details such as color, size or material can flow from checkout into post-purchase notifications. Shoppers get more useful information about the items in their order, and you control which details are passed to your notification platform.

The information is added to each cart item at checkout and carried through by Ingrid to supported notification platforms, including Emarsys and Klaviyo. This means richer order and delivery messages without needing separate product data lookups for each platform.

Access Transport through the Ingrid interface

We're taking the first step toward a more unified Ingrid experience. Transport is moving into app.ingrid.com, bringing more of the products you use into the same interface and navigation.

Transport functionality stays the same, and what you see in the navigation depends on your permissions. Existing Transport users will be redirected automatically, so there's nothing you need to do.

Track every parcel in a multiparcel Shopify order

Delivery tracking for Shopify has moved from order level to parcel and order-line level. When an order ships in several packages, Ingrid tracks each package separately and associates it with the relevant order lines, giving a clearer view of which items are arriving in each delivery.

For shoppers, that means each package has its own status and a clearer picture of which items have arrived and what's still on the way.

If you already use Ingrid Tracking, enable the new integration to start using the new tracking experience.

Choose what Ingrid stores on your Shopify orders

You can choose whether Ingrid keeps completed session data on your Shopify orders. A new setting called "Store Completed Session data on order" sits in your app settings, and turning it off keeps that data out of your order notes.

Some retailers want tighter data minimization, while others simply want cleaner order notes. The setting is on by default, so nothing changes unless you choose to opt out.

Run FedEx across the US and EU

Ingrid is a certified FedEx Compatible Service Provider for US operations, following our EU certification earlier this year. The certification validates our FedEx integration against FedEx's own technical and operational standards, and it now covers both regions.

For retailers running FedEx in the US, this removes an additional step previously required before going live. Ingrid holds the parent account for both EU and US account numbers, making it easier to support FedEx deployments across both regions.

Offer label-less FedEx returns

Shoppers returning an order with FedEx can now use a QR code instead of a printed label. They receive the code when they book the return, then present it at a participating FedEx drop-off location where staff scan it and print the label on their behalf. FedEx Office, Express Ship Centers and Walgreens all support the flow.

The flow runs on FedEx Returns Technology and covers US and Canada domestic returns, with cross-border support where Electronic Trade Documents are enabled. It works as an add-on to any FedEx return booking setup you already have in Ingrid.

Add Asendia returns

Asendia is already available for outbound shipments through Ingrid, and we've added its separate returns integration.

The integration covers postal returns, pickup point returns and collections, and it supports QR code returns where the shopper does not need to print anything.

Ship heavy and bulky goods in Germany

Rhenus Home Delivery is now integrated for domestic deliveries within Germany. Rhenus is a European leader in last-mile logistics for home and living goods, specializing in heavy and bulky items such as furniture, appliances and fitness equipment.

Bulky orders rarely fit the same delivery pattern as parcels. Having a specialist carrier available alongside your parcel carriers means you can match the service to the order, rather than routing everything the same way.

Reach 26 EU markets from the UK

Royal Mail Business NPC Tracked Priority is available in Ingrid, covering home delivery from the UK into 26 EU markets with checkout and tracking support.

For UK retailers selling into Europe, it adds a tracked priority option on a Royal Mail contract you may already hold, without a new carrier relationship to set up first.

Follow one path to go-live

We rebuilt the implementation section of the Ingrid Knowledge center together with our implementation team. There's a route for each product, with timelines that reflect how projects actually run. It replaces the older onboarding pages.

Alongside it, the new best practices section focuses on practical advice: how to structure a checkout that converts and patterns worth following when setting up delivery. Sign-in, permissions, API keys and order data sit together in one account and access section.

This gives teams a clearer path through implementation, with the guidance needed at each stage of the project.

Start at getting started, then go to implementation, checkout, tracking, transport or returns. The best practices and account and access sections are new too.

Know which Checkout API you are on

Two new guides cover the Checkout API options. The first explains V1, V2 and headless, what each one supports, and how to tell which you are running today. The second is a step-by-step path for moving from V1 to V2.

The fulfillment check guide now includes request and response examples along with how to authenticate, so your developers can build an availability endpoint without asking us for the payload first.

Offer collection from your own stores

A new guide covers in-store pickup, or click and collect. It walks through offering collection from your own stores at checkout, then managing those store locations yourself afterward as they open, close or change their hours.

See the in-store pickup guide →

See which return emails go out and when

All 22 automated emails in Ingrid Returns are documented in one place, including what triggers each one and which parts you can change.

Return communication is an important part of the post-purchase experience, making it worth knowing exactly what lands in a shopper's inbox and when.

See the email templates guide →

Check language coverage per product

One reference brings together the languages each Ingrid product supports, including locale codes. Checkout and Upsell cover 52 languages, and the FAQ widget covers 52 as well, though not the same set. Tracking covers 42, Returns 36 and Notifications 26.

If you are planning a new market, this answers the coverage question before it turns into a scoping conversation.
